Cat

Cats appear throughout Raveel’s entire body of work, including in this drawing. The cat, a faithful companion in Raveel’s life, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for his painting. The freedom of drawing allows his vision to develop naturally. Using simple media – pen, ink, felt-tip pen, opaque paint and pencil – he attempts, as it were, to look at the things around him for the first time. In a controlled and purposeful manner, yet at the same time spontaneously and intuitively, he continually explores new possibilities on paper.
