On 10 May 1990, exactly 50 years after the outbreak of World War II, Roger Raveel and his artwork The sense of the meaningless march on foot from the Palace of Fine Arts to the Grand Place in Brussels. It is a parade for peace, a call to pause and learn from the horrors of the past. The furniture on wheels in the street is a reference to the people who had to flee with their belongings during the war.
