In the late 1980s, the parish priest of Machelen-aan-de-Leie invited Raveel to decorate the new chapel and place of worship Maria Hulp der Christenen (Mary Help of Christians). He turned it into a total work of art, which took him four years to complete. It consists of secular and religious frescoes, paintings, a large ceramic sculpture and a stained-glass window that merge under the title The Religion of Life. Raveel also took care of the interior design, including a simple white altar.

The chapel can be visited by appointment.
